New Plug-in: Template Editor
Dflying | 24 February, 2006 20:21LifeType supports user defined templates to customize the look and feel of your blog, but it only provide basic upload/delete functionalities which will bring end users inconvenience for later changing or small modifications. This plug-in is used for editing templates online without needing to access the host.

You may visit the editor by Control Center -> Blog Template Editor after login to the admin page. The initial page is the list of templates available.
As a user, you’ve gained *no* permissions to edit templates in global scope, so you may find the checkbox and name of the global templates are disabled. Just copy an existing template as a new template in your blog scope by clicking ‘Copy’ of one entry in template list. Then give your template a name in the popup window.
Ok, the copied template entry is already at the bottom of the list, you may delete by selecting the checkbox and clicking ‘Delete’, or edit by clicking its name.
Click the name to start editing. Now all the files in the template are listed there. You can add, delete, copy or preview the files in Actions section. Also click the editable file name to enter the online editor page.
NOTE: For security issues, *.php files are not allowed to be added or edited.
In the online editor page, it provides an RTE to edit your template file. Remember click “Update” to save your changes after editing. While you may also roll back changes by select “Backup Recover” dropdown list.
